DohaRaytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is seeking a Principal System Administrator to join our team in support of the Air and Missile Defense Operations Center (ADOC) System for the Qatar Emiri Air Defence Forces (QEADF).
The position is located at a QEADF site near the city of Doha, Qatar.This position requires a strong understanding of VMware, Juniper, Microsoft, and HP technologies.
To be successful, the candidate must be able to deploy and manage VMware Virtual Servers, Microsoft Desktops, SolarWinds, and 3PAR Storage Management (HP) from day one without any additional training.
As a Systems Administrator, this position supports the server Operating systems for Windows Server and Linux and the applications running on the servers such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, IIS, and FTP.
Typical activities consist of deploying, configuring, managing, patching, and upgrading these server operating systems and applications.
This position requires rotating shift work.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Coordinate efforts as a part of the Managed Services and Professional Services teamsEnsure that all software and systems architecture designs and decisions are consistent with long term product development plansBe a single point subject matter expert for all customer systems;
responsible for complex configuration decisions and the primary reference on how to plan, design, implement, and operate systems based on technologies / solutions from SolarWinds, Juniper, IBM, VMware, Microsoft, and HPAssist in overseeing outsourced technical work and be involved in engaging potential strategic partners and third party vendorsProvide Tier 3 engineering support for all services and applications provided to customersAdhere to a change and configuration control processSystems Build Engineer and manage Configuration Control of entire internal network, customer data center, and customer premise equipment under contract supportEstablish a professional relationship with Engineer team to ensure change control processes are followed and technologies are implemented according to corporate policiesAssist in future software and systems scalability planning and mature Disaster Recovery processes and proceduresAssist Software Developers with SQL / Oracle and Application Presentation / delivery schemasAnalyze development requirements and prepare level of effort estimatesRequired Experience, Knowledge, and / or Skills : Must be a US citizen with an active Secret security clearanceDemonstrate understanding of Data Center environments to include power, cooling, and securityDemonstrate understanding of VMware ESXi and vCenterDemonstrate understanding of ExchangeDemonstrate understanding of Juniper switching and routing protocolsBackground in SMB as well as Large Scale EnterprisesProficient in : Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Virtualization, SAN and NAS technologies, switching technologies, Exchange, Windows Terminal Services, Ghost and other Imaging technologies;
