DohaJob PurposeThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Qatar Airways IT team. You will be responsible in managing a group of interrelated projects by leading Business IT Strategy for the assigned Line of Business.
We need your experience and skills to ensure that the projects are delivered in an efficient, timely and cost effective mannerJob AccountabilitiesStrategicEnsure the Technology Strategy for the assigned line of business is drafted and agreed.
To engage with all outsourced / hosted IT services for assigned business areasEnsure that the established IT strategy for assigned business is being met with regards to functionality, technology, cost and future application startegyEnsure that the objectives for the programme are defined to enable measurement of success and prioritization when conflicts arise.
OperationalTake ownership for delivery of the assigned programme and ensure projects under that are delivered within agreed cost and timescales.
Ensure that available resources across on-site / offshore are optimally utilised within the programme to achieve the objectives and success of the programme.
Ensure the list of projects to be undertaken along with key attributes such as business priority is defined and maintained.
Ensure that each project is initiated at the right time.Ensure that any specific standards and procedures to be followed by all the projects / sub-projects in the programme are clearly defined, communicated to the individual Project teams across the stake holders and complied with.
Establish organisational control structures for work programme (e.g. work programme steering group) working with respective Senior Managers.
Ensure that risks from individual projects are consolidated, prioritised based on risk exposure and resources are focused to manage risks with highest impact on the programme.
Ensure that a consolidated work programme plan is established and maintained based on high level planning output from individual projects.
Ensure that summary reports of all projects in the programme are provided to relevant stakeholders in regular time intervals accountabilities here.
Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the DepartmentTechnical expertise and skills required for this roleExperience in successfully implementing an ERP, such as JDE.
Project implementation experience in .NET and ERP.ERP integration knowledge.Expertise in Purchase, Inventory, Finance, and manufacturing domainsEffective Vendor Management skillsProject / Program change, risk and resource management skillsProject and Program Management skills.
Qualification and ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in managing multiple IT integrated Projects.Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's levelPMP certification or demonstrable Project Management experience.
