Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will contribute to the performance of the hotel by supervising F&B team members in the designated sections and serving customers to ensure their needs are met with high quality service in a timely manner.

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day restaurant operations as per the restaurant set standards and procedures.

General duties

  • Participates in achieving the organization’s goals, the set targets of the outlet and ensure proper implementation of the SOP.
  • Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
  • Ensures that all steps of services as outlines in training materials are being followed on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that all standards and restaurant cash handling procedures are met.
  • Ensures all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely matter.
  • Assists the F&B manager in planning and setting up special meetings and events.
  • Communication & interaction

  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
  • Communicates with guests and team members using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
  • Solicits feedback from guests concerning the service and food & beverage offerings in the outlet.
  • Does 121 training on service standards and quality on a regular interval or in case the need shows it
  • Conducts, upon need, briefings and monthly meeting for the assigned team members.
  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Greets customers upon their arrival, present them with the menu, assist them in the selection and visit their table to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Proposes new, creative and sound alternatives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Handles customer’s complaints appropriately while ensuring continuous client satisfaction.
  • Overviews the food and beverage preparation and presentation process before serving to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Training & Development

  • Conducts effective induction and orientation sessions.
  • Identifies and assesses future and current training needs.
  • Draws an overall or individualized training and development plan.
  • Monitors and evaluates the trainers and the training program’s effectiveness and success.

  • EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATION

  • Technical Degree in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in F&B operations, out of which 2 year in a similar supervisory role
  • Good knowledge in both written and spoken English, any additional language is a plus.
