The sales consultant is the organization’s face in front of the client and therefore he / she holds an important responsibility for the image of the company.

The sales consultant’s main objective is an outstanding customer experience with a strong focus on achieving goals and sales targets.

Job duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Implementation of the division’s market approach by performing direct sales- and marketing activities
  • Generating sales volume in compliance with agreed sales & marketing plans, driven by a strong ambition to achieve the expected results
  • Promoting and developing our brand as a full solution provider and representing our company’s core values
  • Identifying projects and getting the opportunity to work on those ones in either an early or final stage
  • Meeting the specifying clientele (architects, interior designers, consultants, etc.) regularly and offering our full scope of service from a design stage onwards
  • Supporting the specifiers with lighting consultancy, lighting design, design support, value engineering, etc., which will be worked out by the support team members in our office
  • Getting our main brands specified in an early stage in order to ensure a higher success rate in tender stage
  • Meeting and following up with contractors in order to bring us in an advanced position for projects
  • Getting the opportunity to work on specifications with an alternative package from our brand portfolio
  • Working on approvals of our products and packages with the consultants and complying to their comments
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with important contacts in our business nature (specifiers, contractors)
  • Managing key accounts with special attention by living 100% customer orientation with full commitment
  • Doing the expected number of clients’ visits per week; both existing and new accounts, both contractors and specifiers, such as consultants, interior designers and architects
  • Monitoring projects with a project list and keeping track on them professionally with the right follow up actions within the right time
  • Presenting our lighting concepts to the clients with passion in order to convince them about our solution
  • Submitting our quotations, tender offers and proposals along with full technical submittals to the client
  • Capable of explaining all the details of our solution along with the technical product information in an efficient way
  • Negotiating prices and payment terms along with other conditions with clients within the authorized scope
  • Being informed about latest market trends and product innovations in order to educate the market and present
  • latest technological trends to the clients


  • Proficient knowledge of the market and the key players (contractors, consultants, architects, designers, etc.)
  • Great contacts and relationships to this clientele within the construction and design industry
  • Good familiarity with the lighting industry as well as manufacturers including their core product portfolio
  • Proper understanding about all the different light fixtures and the related technical terms / parameters
  • Strong time management skills and experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
