We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages.About Your Job : : Participate in the development and implementation of manpower plans and manpower control throughout the Corporation, Provide information and advice to ensure the Corporation employs the right person in the right job at the right time at the right cost.
Collaborate with counterparts from Nationalization Department to ensure that jobs are available for Qataris as soon as they are ready to assume the jobs.
Analyse manpower information to produce reports and recommendations for managerial decision making. Carry out studies to diagnose and recommend the necessary courses of action to remedy any problem related to the Manpower Planning function and ensure optimum utilization / cost effectiveness.
Operational : Analyze the specific manpower requirements of assigned departments and the specific requirements of positions within the business unit, in order to guide Business Partners and their respective Business Department Managers in achieving their targets and planning their future manpower requirements.
This requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the specific business of the assigned department and an awareness of the inter-relationship of all HR functionalities and how they impact on each specific department.
Supervise the development and implementation of manpower control through the Corporation. Provide information and advice to ensure the corporation employs the right person in the right job at the right cost and time frame.
Analyze Manpower information to produce reports and recommendations for managerial decision making. Advise and support the department’s Managers in the formulation of their manpower plans, both short and long term to identify numbers and type of staff required to meet existing and future need emphasizing the need to avoid unnecessary recruitment / or training / development.
Analyze the age and nationalities distribution within the Corporation and ensure that career progression plans will meet manpower needs in all disciplines.
Study and analyze the turnover by location, department, discipline, revise and analyze reasons,. Study, analyze and report on all manpower planning issues including but not limited to age and nationalities distribution with the corporation, turnover by location, department, discipline and ensure that career progression plans will meet manpower needs in all disciplines.
Identify alternative courses of action to safeguard stable and sound work force. Recommend on ways and means to encourage the employees commitment, participation and strong identification with the Corporation.
Provide management with manpower analysis and reports to reflect planned needs and requirements of manpower. Monitor all movements of employees where the Qatarization process will take effect.
Receive and verify all recommendation for Qatarization from Department / NTM, indicate whether recommendations are within Company policies, liaises with other departments within QR and subsidiaries to identify alternate positions.
Provide a statistical backup to all departments requiring ad-hoc reports and analyses in all areas of company / departmental manpower planning.
Review proposal from each functional heads for staffing requirements and make recommendations to senior management to either approve or not the requirement after undertaking careful analysis of the productivity requirements and business plans.
Management & Leadership : Establish the team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the team objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Development : Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise, Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management, Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program, Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management.
About you : To be successful in this role you will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Degree in Business Administration or equivalent, followed by courses in manpower planning and HR management, Fluency in English, Computer literacy and knowledge of HR Systems.
Minimum of 5 years job-related specialist experience required with 7 years related experience in Human Resources functions of which at least 5 years should be at supervisor level in HR or related.
Preference will be given to those who have 7 years of job-related experience and relevant experience in an airline industry and / or consulting environment.
