Job Summary

The HealthClub / Recreation Receptionist is responsible for ensuring that all areas within the Recreation are set-up and maintained in the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and operations.

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Able to stand during entire shift

  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing nametags.
  • Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Fundamental Requirements

  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Prepare, set-up and when necessary clean areas within the Recreation
  • Comply at all times with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Provide accurate information and responds to guests questions regarding the facilities, services and activities
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the benefit of each treatment and is able to explain this to the guest
  • Ensure the set-up, cleanliness, hygiene of Recreation facilities are consistently maintained
  • Cleaning treatment room immediately when finished using and coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to keep the area clean and with zero defects
  • Maintain the highest standard of personal grooming and hygiene as instructed by company
  • Maintain the highest level of hygiene cleanliness within the surrounding area at all times
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Be attentive of guests needs and assist in providing a pleasant experience and strives to exceed customer expectation.
  • Work effectively with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries
  • Control and deliver the linen
  • Send dirty linen to laundry and pick up clean linen from Linen Room
  • Always follow the hotel policies and procedures
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
