Stantec is currently seeking a Project Manager to support on a buildings project in Qatar.
Job Purpose :
The Project Manager is to act as the day-to-day’ Client’s Representative on behalf of Stantec in close cooperation with the Project Director.
Plan and in cooperation with Stantec’s HR resource CA / CM team and monitor resources performance.
Manage and support all Stantec’s Construction Administration / Management site based staff and contract service deliverables.
Job Responsibilities :
Client’s delegated site based representative and liaison for Stantec’s site-based team.
Responsible for all Stantec’s activities, services deliveries and persons on site.
Responsible for all Stantec’s CA / CM team communication to the Client’s Project Manager and to the Main Contractor.
Attends monthly Steering Group meeting.
Chairs bi-weekly / monthly Progress Meeting.
Attends other major technical, commercial and / or project control meetings as necessary.
Prepares Monthly Reports.
Liaisons and coordinates directly with the Project Director.
Liaisons with the Stantec Design Team Project Manager when necessary.
Liaisons with all necessary local authorities as necessary.
Reviews necessary Constructability and Build-ability reviews.
Reviews necessary project sequencing and phasing reviews.
Responsible for review of and reply on all claims and EOT’s.
Manages all variations and changes from a Stantec perspective.
Responsible for signing-off and organizing preparation preliminary Hand Over report.
Responsible for the project handover, final walk through and project closure
Project Manager (Buildings)
Minimum Fifteen (15) years project management experience, with minimum of Five (5) years Construction Administration experience and minimum of Three (3) years in the Middle East and previous hospital project experience of project of similar nature.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines : Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
Member of a Recognized Chartered Institute
Project and project control management.
Strong engineering and technical background.
Understanding of contracts, commercial and business finances.
