CUSTOMER SERVICES DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A Technical Support & Service Engineer BASED IN QATAR.
The Technical Support & Service Engineer may interface / support other departments such as Engineering, Project & Bid Teams.
He will be mainly responsible to provide technical support to the User / Customer, undertaking technical tasks and providing answers to technical queries covering the Communications / Operation control, Security system.
Core tasks and responsibilities
Working as part of the Services team, the Technical Support & Service Engineer shall :
Know the following systems : Integrated Communication, Security, Supervision, Scada.
Understand the maintenance works in Operational environment, when the railway is in revenue Service
Provide first level of technical support :
gather customer's information and determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms
Fix the issue or escalate to Level 2 support to coordinate technical support with engineering experts;
Intervene to respond and restore the system failure and put back the system in revenue Service.
Coordinate with the PIC, operator and other stakeholders to get the necessary Permit To Work for any intervention
Provide the intervention report
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and technical requests about the system;
Accurately process and record all events occurring during the shift.
by filling the ICC Log file
Provide support to internal and external progress reporting;
Perform and submit root cause analysis reports for specific incidents that happened on the system;
Conform to Company quality procedures and standard practices;
Perform shift and emergency duties when required;
Perform and carry out duties as instructed / directed by the Line Manager;
Note : Communications systems include CCTV, Network, Radio, Digital voice and Video recording, PAS / PIS, Telephone, Video broadcasting, access control, intrusion alarm, etc
Skills and Experience
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering (electrical, telecommunication, computer, etc.
Business or equivalent experience
Able to understand the functional architecture of a complex supervisory system and its subsystems
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Experience dealing directly with customer and partners in a service or support role;
Excellent troubleshooting skills; Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions.
Global Knowledge of IT.

Minimum 2 years professional experience in railway Communication, Radio, ticketing and signaling techniques.
3+ years of experience in COM,SCADA is a plus.
3+ years of experience in AFC is a plus
3+ years of experience in ATC is a plus
2 years in cyber security and IT administration is a plus
Certifications in Cisco, Huawei, IBM, HP products, is a plus
Working experience within multidisciplinary teams including PMO, Estimating, Engineering, Finance, HSE & Quality disciplines
