About the role
Responsible to establish and execute a strategy for Business Intelligence and decision optimization that will ensure the business is supplied with everything from basic historical reporting to advance and embedded analytical solutions which enables decision optimization for business.
Accountable for identifying, shaping and delivering a business intelligence and analytics strategy that delivers incremental benefits for business using analytics, modelling and BI systems for the business
Oversee the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business challenges or questions
Strategic
Provide input through business intelligence to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of operations and capable of resolving escalated issues from QAS operations.
Build a business intelligence and analytical strategy, roadmap planning and functions to deliver accelerated growth across the business areas.
Develop the strategy and practices to define, measure and manage key performance indicators across QAS in compliance with QR Group values.
Build strategic partnership and work closely with the IT team to mature analytics within QAS organization and align with overall QAS strategy and objectives.
Operational
Take the lead in formalizing and scaling up growing analytics functions to act as analytics partners for various teams across QAS Ground Handling (GH) to provide actionable data and insights about the QAS business and operations that will help uncover business insights and guide decision making with highest standards and consistency of data and analytics.
Work closely with senior leadership across the organization to build trusted relationships, understanding analytics needs, and building programs which uncover meaningful insights into drivers of the business
Responsible to develop functional analysis within the organization to support the operational data needs and measuring the right things and enabling data-driven decision making throughout QAS GH.
Lead a BI team to build and meet reporting needs, visualizing information that tells the data-driven story to the business by connecting data from multiple sources to provide insightful and actionable analysis, reports, and dashboards that drive key business decisions.
Find innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships amongst large amounts of data and to identify the success measures, analyses and reporting processes that lead to actionable findings.
Support various teams, including Business Development, QAS Planning and QAS Operations by providing data, simulations statistics, and other meaningful insights that will support them on conducting feasibility studies, demos, scoping assessments and building proposals in project delivery.
Utilizing the BI team, develop and deliver business intelligence via dashboards and reporting that are easy to understand, flexible and effectively deliver insight to QAS senior management on actionable KPIs in order to track performance and improve various areas of business.
Lead the team to improve data capability and data architecture to support the BI mission and foster a data informed approach.
Create Business Intelligence workroom (Lab) to streamline and optimization of IT resources, initiatives and IT solutions and internal applications development for QAS and others subsidiaries.
Management & Leadership
Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
