Job Description Contracts Specialist

Job Purpose

Co ordinate, prepare by developing, supporting and executing complex andhigh value contracts and tenders specifically for the Major Projects.

And toprovide specialist knowledge and guidance to team members ensuring integrityand relaiability of process and Operations with overall objective to optimizecosts.

Key JobAccountabilities

  • Formulatetendering and contracting activities including comprehensive engineering,technical and commercial review of scope of work received from Major Projectsand other business units to evaluate any potential risks to the Company.
  • Developsuitable compensation models commensurate with the scope of work.
  • Ensurequality control of tender documents for complex and high value services, reviewtechnical and commercial bids leading to establishment of suitable contract tofacilitate end user in project execution.
  • Checkcommercial risks and consider appropriate risk mitigation solutions to preventany potential impact on tender and contract delivery program.
  • Reviewscope of work and commercial documentations to ensure accuracy and compliance withregulatory and local standards.
  • Providespecialised expertise in tendering and contracting process ensuring latestfinancial,
  • technical,commercial, SEQ standards are embedded in the documentation and providing specialistguidance to Contracts Engineers to ensure alignment.
  • Conductcontract cost analysis and monitor savings to support Company cost initiatives.
  • Leadcommercial review and negotiations with the bidders to get best value forcompany .
  • Providingregular guidance to the team members and actively contribute to resolution of contractualissues related to special projects such as Major EPCs, complex OEMs etc.
  • Prepareall documentation relating to the Contracts and ensure such Contracts areexecuted on a timely manner.
  • PersonSpecification Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

  • Bachelordegree in Engineering, Science, Management discipline or other relevant degree.
  • Knowledge and / or Experience

  • 10years’ experience in a contracts management environment
  • within the oil and gas industry.

  • Technicaland Business Skills Proficient in written and Spoken English.
  • ComputerLiteracy (MS Office) including working knowledge of business software programs,networking and SAP.
  • Stronganalytical and reasoning Skills.
  • Technicalknowledge in reviewing and preparing technical Contracts.
  • Goodknowledge of Contract laws and industry practices.
