Job Overview :
The Civil&Structural Design Engineer will perform multi-projectsportfolio within a Minor Project team environment to deliver safe,reliable, on schedule and cost-effective design.
o Assigneddeliverables including specific complex deliverables in oil and gasfacility such as pipe racks, pipe supports and sleepers, equipmentstructures, modules, foundations, paving, buildings, control room,substation, compressor / dynamic foundations, equipment foundations,drainage, roads and culverts.
Capable toperform design modification or adequacy check of existingfacilities as part of Management of Change (MOC) scope with themain key challenges such as non-availability of existing designreport or significant discrepancy between as-built drawing andactual.
Able to demonstrate hand design calculation / spreadsheet andmostly will use STAAD.Pro program to complete the structuraldesign.
Handling several projects and workingin multi-engineering disciplines as single discipline focalpoint.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
Accountability for civil & structuraldetail engineering deliverables and conceptual studies, such asdesign layouts, design basis, design calculations, specificationand construction documents.
Able toeffectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to otherengineers and non-engineers.
Ensureseffective communications with civil discipline Technical Authority(TA), other engineering disciplines TAs anddesigners / drafters.
Responsible for scheduleand cost considerations / estimation in design decisions, whilemaintaining primary responsibility to safe and quality indesigns
Responsible for field verificationduring design and construction
Responsible toreply for Technical Query (TQ) from Construction Contractor
Support Lead Design Engineer and Project Engineerto keep projects on track and get Top Quartile (TQ) for theportfolio
