Key Accountabilities : Preventive Maintenance :
Preventive Maintenance :
Perform preventive maintenance of field instruments such that instrument failures are avoided.
Report all abnormal condition to the supervisor.
Corrective Maintenance :
Trouble Shooting, repair / replace / calibrate assigned instrumentation units of the plant as directed
by the supervisor / Engineer. Maintenance of the Instrumentation on Controls of large
Compressors, turbines, pumps, air coolers, process furnaces, boilers, plus Instrumentation on
Utilities, Storage, Jetties and Deluge systems. Process Control systems of field instrumentation
consisting of various electronic transmitters, control valves and actuators.
Prepares daily reports, complete calibration forms on overhauls abnormalities, and condition of
Instrument maintenance works. Ensure that accurate records are provided for all maintenance
activities and unit condition
Perform modifications on instruments units under the guidance and recommendation of superiors as
per MOC approvals provided.

adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products / services and environmental

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :
Routine communication with Maintenance disciplines.
Daily status communication with Instrument Supervisor.
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY :
This role operates under the general guidance and direction of Instrument Supervisor across the
instruments maintenance areas of accountability. The technician is accountable for
operating day-to-day plans concerning ongoing operational issues within a framework of set
operational policies and procedures.
Major and / or extraordinary issues must be referred to Instrument Supervisor for direction and / or approval.
QUALIFICATION , EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :
Minimum Qualifications : Graduate from Technical Instrument engineering diploma.
Minimum Experience : 4-6 years total instrument maintenance experience, preferably in a large oil and gas organization.
Required Skills :
Knowledge and maintenance experience of all instrumentation, primary measuring devices,
secondary measuring devices, Controller, Control & ON / OFF valves. Knowledge of field
instrumentation, DCS / PLC marshalling cabinets, process safety principals, fire and gas
Specific Experience required :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
EDUCATION : Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
BACKGROUND : Experience as Electrical Engineer for testing and commissioning and startâ€ up
in similar electrical equipmentâ€™s and associated systems in the petrochemical industry with
minimum 2 years at Supervisor / Foreman level in electrical maintenance field.
SPECIAL SKILLS : Experience working for maintenance and testing of Power and Distribution
Transformer up to 33KV voltage level. Experience in Oil filtration is preferred. Good
knowledge of English, both written and oral. Good understanding of Electrical standards
EXPERIENCE : 5 years
