The Facilities Maintenance Lead has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the assigned location infrastructure, including operations and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and utilities.
Ensures all site operations are in compliance with the goals of the customer and according to company policies and procedures.
Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Establishes work requirements, coordinates, prioritizes and successfully completes short and long term projects.
Ensures that all purchasing and inventory control for the facility is cost effective.
Ensures building integrity and maintenance of electrical, water, air systems and maintenance of facility grounds.
Oversees facility operation including general maintenance of HVAC and electrical systems and installation of customer and company mechanical / electrical solutions.
Manages the planning, procurement and use of equipment needed to ensure timely and efficient response to general and building services requests.
Supervises numerous vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Oversees and implements all safety policies and procedures. Ensure that all safety requirements are observed.
Prepares and presents reports to senior management regarding the status of facilities activities, construction and / or renovation projects as required.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Advanced knowledge of building operations and management.
Knowledge of and skilled in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical systems, cleaning, water and sanitation
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation and people skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional knowledge and skills may be required by the contract or assignment.
Experience & Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in facilities or engineering.
Experience in subcontractor management.
Additional education and experience may be required by the contract and will be listed separately.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
Will vary based on contract.
Living and working conditions at assignment location may be remote and uncomfortable and require ability to work in an austere or inhospitable high stress environment.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
