Job Description

  • Defines research audit assurance, compliance and risk management strategies, accountabilities and action steps for building and executing quality management systems, research audit assurance, compliance and risk management capabilities.
  • Develops, implements, manages and maintains the Quality Management System, Audit Assurance, Compliance and Risk Management systems.
  • Develop and maintain quality management system to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the protection of human subjects is achieved through a robust quality and safety program that adheres to Qatar laws and international standards.
  • Establishes, implements and maintains specific Annual Quality and Audit Assurance and Compliance Plan, Annual Risk Assessment and Monitoring Plan for the Research branch.
  • Overseas the Research activities conducted and ensures that its incompliance with Qatar laws, regulations, international quality standards, Sidra Medicine’s Core values and Policies and Procedures, research activities are lawfully and ethically conducted and on time and in accordance with regulations.
  • Leads and manages day to day quality and audit assurance, compliance and risk management activities to monitor processes, Sidra Medicine’s policies and procedures and SOP compliance and compiles the reports.
  • Develops and manages the implementation of research quality and audit assurance, compliance and risk management frameworks and related manuals.
  • Define and ensure Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPAs).
  • Track and follow up on all reported events through Datix.
  • Reports and provides timely updates to line management on the performance / progress, risks, issues and milestones of the quality and audit assurance, compliance and risk management systems and any need for improvement.
  • Presents audit assurance, compliance and risk management guidelines, regulations, standards and related Sidra Medicine’s policies and procedures to the Research Management.
  • Oversee education for quality assurance in research branch.
  • Proposes new concepts in areas of Audit Assurance, Compliance and Risk Management Systems and CAPA analysis to Research Management.
  • Maintains control metrics to find opportunities to improve audit assurance, compliance and risk management functions.
  • Identifies training needs and oversees continuous education to research staff as needed and develops training programs accordingly.
  • Investigates all irregularities which are normally the issues threatening the integrity of delivery, assessment and awarding systems for qualifications including adverse effects, and cases of malpractice and maladministration.
  • Tracks warrantee, auditing, and customer feedback to improve processes integrity.
