FUNCTION :

The function of the Student Support Services Coordinator will be to balance unifying all 3 divisions of Student Support Services, while also respecting and acknowledging the variety of learning needs, teaching styles and learning styles across the school.

The Student Support Services Coordinator will collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and the greater community to provide a comprehensive approach to meeting students’ academic, social and emotional needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Review and have a firm understanding of the Arc-Q audit administered to all 4 ACS schools in 2019.
  • Integrate schoolwide research based best practices that are in congruence with the standards of the IB. This includes a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Integrated Co-Teaching strategies.
  • Upgrade and implement the ACS Doha Inclusion Plan
  • Promote and supervise the schoolwide use of the Personal Learning Module as a secure online database for all Student Support Services Documentation (Learning plans, templates, paperwork)
  • Collaborate with divisional leads and IB coordinators to monitor student progress.
  • Represent Student Support Services regularly with the school leadership team.
  • Provide transitional support between divisions
  • Facilitate Student Support Services department meetings and workshops to assist with implementing all facets of the intended program, mentor teachers and sit in on parent meetings from all divisions when needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the admissions and marketing departments, IT and ACS UK colleagues
