Scope and Purpose

Manage all branch critical core and global system (SIRE / AS 400, Safewatch, Swift Alliance, etc..) and act as a point of reference as IT Manager and Global ICT Head office

Manage functioning of Wide and Local Area Network, as well as related hardware and software so as to ensure availability to the Branch's users

Interact with all Branch's staff and Units to ensure the smooth running of the Branch's operations, prompt troubleshooting and to ensure that the proper technology and support requirements are provided for all products and business lines

Report to HAO on all technology related issues including systems plan, budget, projects, performance and other related matter, coordinate with Global ICT and International Department

In coordination with CFO, manage ICT supplies and ICT outsourced services

Manage implementation of new software and applications, in coordination with Head Office

Support Information Security Activities managed by local ISO and HO Cyber Security Teams

In coordination with HAO, Local ISO and HO BCM Teams support the Business Continuity Activities and Disaster Recovery Plans

  • Manage and acts as first point of reference for IT audits, both internal and external, as well as COBIT Audits;
  • Assist CFO in managing logistics

    Required Experience

    At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with an international financial institution operating in Qatar / Gulf

    Competencies Required

    Languages : fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic and / or Italian would be preferable

    Academic background : degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

    Computer : thorough knowledge of the technology infrastructure. Experience of ISP applications would be preferable

  • Personal skills : good communication and interpersonal skills, strongly organised person, highly flexible and open minded, able to work under pressure;
  • result oriented, strong teamwork attitude, and negotiation skills.

    Local and corporate knowledge : familiarities with Qatari IT environment would be preferable

  • Excellent knowledge of the ICT's performance;
  • Abilities to interface with Global ITC in HO;
  • Deep experience in the banking tech infrastructure;
  • Thorough knowledge in telecommunications and their technologies;
  • Profound knowledge in LAN and ICT services for primary and secondary sites.
