DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The AssistantResident Engineer shall be responsible to assist the ResidentEngineer to leading and supervise a team of multi engineeringdisciplines staff and contractor.
Performs various fieldengineering assignments requiring the application of basicprinciples and fundamental theories as well as general industrypractices.
Receives and issues all approved construction drawingsand specifications ensures that all outdated documents are revised.
Maintains construction drawing and specification files. Assists ineliminating any hazards associated with the work that may adverselyaffect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
Helpsensure that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe workpractices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures andindustry standards.
Assists in the preparation of construction workschedules. Maintains construction technical catalogs, supplierdata, and other literature pertaining to the project.
May providefunctional guidance to craft personnel. Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.
A recognized Professional Qualification would be adistinct advantage. Minimum of years post-graduate and demonstrableexperience in all aspects of supervision out of which minimum of years in works related to similar sewerage, surface& ground water open cut networks projects.
Must demonstratehis / her experience in respect of the technical proposal’sevaluation and its constructability, technology deployment, solvingthe technical problems that may arise during construction It is anessential requirement to have previous experience in managingsimilar large-scale open cut and micro tunneling surface &ground water networks under Design & Build projectsundertaken within the city.
