In this role you will be responsible for the management of Heavy / Light Maintenance operations to ensure all schedule / unscheduled Maintenance Activities at Heavy / Light Maintenance are accomplished in a timely manner to the defined QCAR / EASA PART-
145 requirements and QR Quality standards. You will manage Heavy / Light maintenance resources, tooling, hanger bays and equipment to accomplish all the schedule and unscheduled maintenance on the Qatar Airways fleet.
You are also required to liaise directly with BMPCC to ensure all Aircraft are delivered in a timely manner.Please find below some of the highlighted key accountabilities for this role : Strategic : You will be responsible for recommending enhancement processes and procedures to effectively contribute to improve aircraft on time deliveries.
You will develop and implement technical solutions for various technical problems related to equipment required for Heavy / Light Maintenance tasks.
You will develop new strategic plan to enhance efficiencies, productivity and working environments in Heavy / Light maintenance.
Operational : You should constantly monitor Heavy / Light Maintenance procedures and polices to deliver a high quality of standard.
You will manage Heavy / Lightmaintenance operations with a team of Shift Mangers, Supervisors, Engineers and Lead Mechanics to ensure all schedule / unscheduled Maintenance activities and defect rectification is achieved in a timely and safe manner, acceptable to authorities and within quality standards.
You will monitor the serviceability and the scheduled dock in / out time of Aircrafts to obtain on time performance. You must ensure an adequate resource of Engineers and Mechanics are available to meet the operational requirements.
You will prepare reports required to monitor standards and present / review such reports at required meetings. You will oversee Heavy / Light Maintenance tools, equipment and facilities and take required actions to ensure its continued serviceability.
You will manage and monitor training programme for Base staff to meet the current and future requirements. You will constantly review, plan and discuss with Senior Manager Base Maintenance implement efficient policies for Heavy / Light Maintenance activities.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should hold a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification orBachelor's Degree or equivalent in aircraft engineering.
You must have a proven track record in the field of light / heavy maintenance checks in a maintenance base environment. You should have minimum 10 years of job-
related experience within Heavy / Lightmaintenance environment. You should have sound knowledge of air legislation. You must have good management and leadership skills across different cultures with the proven ability to perform under pressure, to be agile and flexible to meet the demands and targets of the Business.
You should have the ability to effectively manage a large team.You should have the ability to communicate effectively with all departments, maintaining good relationships within Heavy / Lightmaintenance.
You should have excellent Managerial skills with the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Applicants must have strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
You will have the ability to foster teamwork among team members. Additional qualifications / experience will be an advantage.
You should have good knowledge, training and experience on Health and Safety in the aircraft maintenance environment.
