Encouraging students to be critical thinkers, involvingstudents actively in pursuing open ended and relevantunits of inquiry, and maintaining a supportive climate for theneeds of second language learners.
Ensuringthat planning, teaching, learning and assessment are interconnectedprocesses, with a view to maintaining a balance of assessment,recording and reporting strategies that involve students, parentsand colleagues in the assessment process.
The teacher should alsoensure students see assessment as a means of describing theirlearning and shaping future learning.
Activelyparticipating in professional development with the aim ofcontinually working to improve learning for our students within thelearning culture of AIA and the philosophy of the IB.
Maintaining a professional demeanor and regard for theimage of the school and the support of colleagues in allactivities, duties and requirements of the school as assigned bythe Principal / Head and IB Coordinator and outlined in the policiesof the school.
The key responsibility of everyteacher at AIA is to be familiar with the values and beliefsexpressed in the philosophy of the IB and to work to translate theminto daily classroom practice in an internationalenvironment.
Current and appropriatecertification.
BA or BS degree in the subjecthe / she will be teaching or in a relevant subject.
Teaching experience preferred.
Ability to teach in bothlanguages, English and Arabic.
