  • Your commitmentReporting to the VicePresident, Academics, the Academic Manager, Foundation Program willoversee the academic, administrative and fiscal wellbeing of thedivision This includes providing leadership to faculty to meetexpectations of program delivery, ensuring all courses / programsoffered within the division are in line with CNA-Q’sacademic standards and building productive working relationshipswith partners from industry.
  • The successful candidate will promoteTechnical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and act as amentor for students by participating in student events andpromoting non-traditional learning activities, attending leadershipand management meetings and participating in initiatives to supportCNA-Q’s strategic goals.

    Responsibilities also includeestablishing Program Advisory Committees to maximize opportunitiesfor industry collaboration.

    S / he will resolve sensitive inquiriesinvolving students and faculty in accordance with the professionalcode of ethics.

    The successful candidate will prepare annualacademic reports on the performance of the department’sacademic programs, as well as maintain the financial resources andlead the establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for thedepartment.

    The Academic Manager, Foundation Program will provideprofessional development support and perform periodic performancereviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development ofemployees and develop workforce plans for the division incollaboration with the Human Resources Department.

    Yourqualifications A Master’s Degree in English Language froma recognized, accredited institution combined witha minimum of 5years of progressive educational leadership experience providingleadership to faculty and overseeing the delivery ofpre-college / preparatory studies / and or adult basic educationcurriculum is required.

    A Doctorate degree in a related field froma recognized, accredited institution is preferred. A proven trackrecord in academic monitoring, planning and administration is anasset.

  • Experience in accreditation and the planning of collegecourses and programs and a familiarity with international highereducation systems;
  • as well as a solid understanding of teaching,learning and student experience is essential. Candidates must beproactive, with strong leadership skills and an ability to lead byexample and achieve organizational success.

    Collaborativedecision-making and positive relationship building across alllevels of the organization is required. The candidate must be ableto anticipate change and effectively manage time and resources on adaily basis.

    Experience identifying and taking appropriatedisciplinary action and dispute resolution isimportant.
