About the role :
As a Terminal Inspection Specialist, you will assist us in achieving the following :
Ensures that the airport’s commercial units (Retail, F&B, Services) and Advertising services are seamlessly operating, in line with HIA’s strategic objectives, safety and security policies.
Ensures that Vendors’ personnel and sub-contractors are always in compliance with airports norms and policies.
Ensures, as liaison, that all Vendors requests related to their units’ operation, maintenance, refurbishments, etc. are addressed to competent airport’s department, so as to obtain all required information, permissions and approvals.
Accountable for the daily monitoring of all existing commercial units’ operation, in line to the agreed (operational) terms, in the Terminal and throughout the airport footprint;
Daily reporting the monitoring results of the Terminal inspection to the Department’s Manager and Account Supervisors.
Informs the Department for all deviations from the agreed operational procedures and obligations;
Inform Vendors’ personnel and sub-contractors for the immediate restoration of violated operational terms (i.e. operating hours, unit’s boundaries, product categories incompliance, personnel behaviour);
Is the liaison between Vendors and HIA’s competent departments (Operations, Facilities Management, Safety & Security, etc.
for any operational activities in the Terminal;
Monitors the fitting-out process of all new units, or the implementation of any new commercial service in the airport;
Coordinate HIA’s departments for the issuance of all required permits for the development of new units in line with Vendors drawings and requirements;
Monitors units replenishment process in the Terminal (dedicated routes and transportation of goods, permitted hours, etc.)
In close cooperation with Commercial Account Supervisors, facilitate their monitoring obligations and support any requirements or execution instructions related to the units operation;
Participate in department’s commercial strategy for the development of new commercial areas.
About You :
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level in Economics, Business Administration
Experience in a similar role at a medium large sized airport, malls, department stores
Minimum 4 years job-related experience
Concession management, commercial management,
Shops development and operation
Understanding of commercial business
Familiarity with supplier communities
Familiarity with commercial contracts
Command of English language
Ability to set clear direction and manage workflow. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
