Reporting to the Finance Manager, the BookstoreSupervisor must be a proven leader with the skills and expertisenecessary to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the campusbookstore.

Duties &Responsibilities : This position requires a service oriented and customer centric individual whowill provide assistance in the operation of the campus bookstore byhelping customers in the purchase of books and / or supplies,receiving merchandise, and performing data entry within regards toinventory.
The incumbent will also, manage purchasing of textbooksand ensure the textbooks are in alignment with course requirements.
Candidates should have experience working in a similar or relatedrole, preferably within an educational institution and possess thequalifications necessary to be successful in the role of BookstoreSupervisor.
The candidates are responsible to assist students andinstructors in locating textbooks or supplies, ensure theavailability of back-ordered books, and liaise with thecollege’s Procurement Department to purchase and follow up on orders for textbooks and other supplies.
Candidates will monitor the titles, ISBN, and quantity of textbooksreceived and reconcile with the purchase order. S / he will also,liaise with the schools to ensure textbook orders are in line withthe school’s requirements and individual courseobjectives.
Candidates will also coordinate with the ProcurementDepartment to resolve text book issues with vendors for example,missing pages, shipment damages, etc.
S / he will maintain bookstorestock inventory control records, provide a list of low stock itemsfor reorder, and ensure orders received in PeopleSoft areinterfaced to MMS system.
Candidates will provide high-level ofcustomer service by responding to direct phone calls and walk in inquiries by customers in a professional and timelymanner, during hours of operation.
S / he will also provide accurateinformation regarding stock availability in a timely manner.Candidates will ensure the bookstore is well organizedat all times.
This includes ensuring shelves are labeled with therelevant details (ISBN, MMS, description, etc.), books areorganized according to departments / themes, and merchandise isdisplayed in an appealing manner.
