An audiology technician providesadministrative support to audiologists and other hearing lossspecialists.
In this role, yourresponsibilities include performing simple hearing tests, helpingpatients get fitted for a hearing aid or other equipment forhearing loss, sound sensitivity, or a balance disorder, and makingadjustments to the aids.
These tests helpaudiologists determine how severe hearing loss or other hearingissues are so they can pursue the best course oftreatment.
You also perform administrativeduties like answering phones, filling out billing forms, andscheduling appointments.
Depending on the sizeof the clinic, you may serve as a receptionist as well.
