The RMD Mission Assurance (MA) organization assures that compliant products are delivered to the customer with NoDoubtTM performance and will work reliably throughout the product life cycle.
Our goal is to establish, maintain and oversee compliance to Quality and Mission Assurance policies and practices which are aligned across RMD.
We are seeking an in-country National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) System Integration and Check Out (SICO) Quality Lead to serve within the Land Warfare & Air Defense mission area.
The SICO Quality Lead will be a part of an overall SICO team including other RTX employees, supplier subject matter experts and Qatari end-user customers.
This position requires regular and frequent interface with Qatari customer and SICO personnel and leadership on appropriate program and quality status / issues.
During periods between SICO events, the MA candidate will support pre-SICO hardware inspection and preparation activities.
The candidate will utilize audit and defect prevention methodologies to ensure compliance of processes and continuous improvement through root cause analysis to ensure the proactive identification and elimination of issues.
This is a long term two-year MOU, with potential to extend, administered by International Assignment Services (IAS) in Qatar and requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a key member of the SICO team ensuring successful SICO execution through effective collaboration and compliance to processes and procedures
Conduct final sale / presentation of major end items and other hardware to the customer or their representatives
Assign duties for one or more Quality professionals in support of executing SICOs
Document the conduct of SICO procedures, including pass / fail of steps, and non-conformances
Record non-conformances utilizing ALCS ensuring disposition in accordance with program contract and customer requirements
Ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions
Participate in test preparation and execution to ensure requirements are verified
Drive continuous improvement
Represent Mission Assurance and interface with OCONUS personnel including Qatari customer, CONUS and OCONUS Raytheon management team, and government personnel
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum of 8 years in Quality Engineering, Operations and / or Field Engineering support
Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret Clearance
Experience with Quality systems, ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, and / or quality sciences / statistical analysis processes and tools
Required Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a Mission Assurance related capacity
Experience on an International assignment in any role
Experience on Direct Commercial Sale Programs
Experience working with an international customer
Existing NASAMS knowledge and / or worked with fielded NASAMS units
Knowledge and experience in the effective use of Root Cause Corrective Action containment and analysis process and tools
Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills, , including experience presenting to leadership
Ability to influence without authority, experience with cross functional teams
Existing US DoD Secret (or higher) clearance
Demonstrated Applied Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to prioritize work load in a multi-tasking, resource constrained work environment
Working knowledge / expertise in special manufacturing processes such as paint
Experience with RMD Operations Quality work instructions, best practices and policy
Competence in computer skills : EXCEL, WORD, POWER POINT.
Strong Planning, Facilitating and Team-coordination skills.
Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity management
Experience with DoD, ISO, AS / QS, GMP, and other national / international standards
Knowledge of product life cycle from design through sustainment
Experience with Integrated Product Development Systems / Integrated Product Development Process (IPDS / IPDP)
Experience in multiple phases of the program / product life cycle
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification, R6s Expert or Six Sigma Black Belt
Existing / Current ASQ and / or Raytheon program management certification
Raytheon Six Sigma Principal Specialist or Expert
Minimum of Mission Assurance Certification Program Hardware Level 5
