Job Description and Requirements

Purpose of Job

The Head of Branch Operations and Control oversees all branch activities relating to internal services and operational issues.

The Head of Branch Operations and Control has overall responsibility to ensure standardization and application of policies & procedures, coordinates between branches and Head Office Depts.

back office support issues and is also responsible for implementing / ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements of QCB.

Key Skills and Experience

Main Duties

  • Ensures that branches follow uniform procedures and security controls and takes corrective action where necessary.
  • Undertakes credit evaluation of retail advances, proposals and submits his recommendations.
  • Overlooks all matters relating to Branch administration, physical security and premises upkeep.
  • Closely monitors branch transactions & reports and suspicious transactions.
  • Is overall in charge of staff relief pool and attends to branch requests for relief staff in case of exigencies.
  • Co-ordinates the Budgetary activities of the branches.
  • Submit periodical MIS reports on monthly / quarterly for branch performance & business data.
  • Coordinates matters / issues relating to branches’ HR requirements, back office processing etc.
  • Essential Qualifications / Experience Required

  • University Degree with 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in Branch Control and Operations within Retail Banking (preferably within the GCC Market) with organizational and leadership skills.
  • Arabic Skills will be an advantage.
