Leads a number of IT projects with a delineated scope of work executed within a finite timeframe in a medium to high complexity context.
Has accountability for related projects over scope definition, execution plan, cost, schedule, design, build, and contractual deliverables
Ensure project delivery on-time, within scope, within budget, and proper quality
Coaches and mentors junior project managers upon PMO’s request
Establishing and developing robust governance arrangements to ensure that business demand is captured.
Along with the IS Head of Strategy and Project to develop and implement the ongoing IS Strategy.
Ensure that effective project and program management approaches are embedded within the IS Service.
Provide a research and development capacity supporting the need to meet future demands of customers
Help develop effective engagement with business leading to successful active management of requirements, current demand and applying industry best practice.
Build and develop a positive reputation for the IS Service by acting as an ambassador when dealing with other colleagues, customers and external partners.
Carries out detailed requirements analysis and sizing of project team; ensure resource availability and allocation
Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders; report and escalate to management as needed
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
10 years’ experience in IT and at least 3 years in a leadership role
5 years’ experience as part of an Oil & Gas organization
Strong project management skills
Strong understanding of the core processes of an Oil & Gas company
Strong relationship and negotiation capability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong English proficiency both spoken and written
