KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Works closely with the Manager and Director of Decision Support to build a high performing team that promotes collaboration and continuious improvement
  • Supports a Decision Support Strategy that enables Senior Leadership, Clinical Management Groups and Corporate Services to improve performance by achieving strategic, tactical and operational goals.
  • Engages and consults with executive and service level leaders to make tactical recommendations based on data with the aim of improving outcomes and achieving Sidra’s vison.
  • Also responsible for supporting an enterprise wide Performance Management Framework in collaboration with other leaders from across the organization.
  • This framework will eventually form the basis of an annual performance incentive review process that will be coordinated with HR.

  • Works closely with senior leadership and other leaders in the organization to analyze complex organization-wide strategic and tactical problems in order to develop and implement data-driven solutions that support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Active participant and proponent of a high performing culture that promotes creativity and collaboration within the Decision Support Team
  • Executes in developing an Enterprise Performance Management framework that includes development of key performance indicators and standard reports that allow leadership to better understand past and future performance while enabling all staff to make better informed decisions.
  • Leverages descriptive and predicitive analytics to analyze past and future performance with the eventual goal of providing prescriptive insight through advanced modeling and optimization
  • Provides consultative and analytical support to senior leadership, executive chairs and leadership teams embed in the Clinical Management Groups and Corporate Services
  • Collaborates with Quality, Safety and Risk and Business Process Improvement to support an organization wide performance improvement function.
  • Develops, implements and maintains an performance management model for the organization in conjunction with leadership within Clinical Management Groups and Corporate Services
  • Coordinates the development, reporting and measurement of corporate Balance Scorecard indicators that are organization-wide, outcome-focused and intrinsic to the mission and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Also manages the dissemination of the corporate Balanced Scorecard methodology to programs / programs.

  • Coordinates the development of new decision support tools and processes for hospital programs and a dynamic decision support infrastructure that includes the continued evolution of business intelligence software deployed at Sidra
  • Maintains knowledge of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and Joint Commission International’s (JCI) various uses of the corporate information that is submitted to them through various reporting mechanisms.
  • This includes understanding the underlying intent and standards for existing data collection

  • Accountable for the monitoring, analysis and distribution of clinical data for the purposes of performance improvement within the organization and compliance with the national reporting guidelines
  • Provides expert advice on trends in healthcare, clinical systems, information and knowledge management, information technology, and business intelligence and decision support to support the Sidra to achieve high quality safe clinical care, education and research.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS SELECTION CRITERIA

    Education : ESSENTIAL :

    ESSENTIAL :

    Bachelors of Health Adminsitration, Business Administration and / or related field

    PREFERRED :

    Masters of Business Administration and / or related field

    Experience : ESSENTIAL :

    ESSENTIAL :

    7+ years experience inclusive of working in healthcare IT, analytics and / or business intelligence

    Certification and Licensure :

    PREFERRED :

  • Project Management Professional
  • Six Sigma
  • Job Specific Skills and Abilities :

  • Excellent business knowledge including strategic planning and business processes
  • Strong conceptual understanding of information management principles and practices
  • Highly developed analytical skills including data aggregation, statistical analysis and modeling
  • Comprehensive multi-layered understanding of hospital clinical, operational and financial processes and information delivery systems, tools and standards
  • Strong leadership and team building abilities
  • Excellent facilitation and negotiating skills
  • High level of diplomacy and relationship building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team in a matrix based organizational structure
  • Able to work with senior management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
