About Your Job
The Regional Manager Airport Services is responsible for ensuring that Airport Operations in the region are efficient, cost effective and conforms to all safety and security requirements.
In this role, you will have regional responsibility covering number of stations within the region of assignment. Through the Airport Managers and station staff, you will ensure customers are provided with 5 Star service in order to create competitive advantage for Qatar Airways in all ground products and services.
You will act as a reference point and a source of expertise for individuals both inside and outside the organisation.
You will ensure that the agreed company KPI's are achieved through close monitoring of stations and strategic leadership for the region.
You will have an active involvement in the preparation of the annual airports budget. This includes monitoring of expenditures of the region and ensuring that they are within the approved budget.
You are responsible in planning, managing and setting up new airport operations in line with company's expansion. You will ensure that the new station is assessed, appropriately budgeted and that the operational functionality are in place prior to official launch.
In addition, you will monitor all aspects of Ground Handling by Third Party Handling Agents and suppliers across the region.
You will monitor the GHN supplier performance and strive to reduce overall operational costs of the region without affecting quality and service levels.
You will interact with all head office departments representing Ground Services at all levels of the company. You will conduct annual performance review for the Airport Managers within your region and recommend necessary development plans as required.
You will address organisational and people development, succession planning, operational performance and business growth requirements.
You will have Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum 8 years of job-related experience in airline and airport operations, 5 years of which is in a management level role.
You will have strong all round business acumen. You must be able to challenge others to manage change creatively, implement new approaches and encourage continuous improvement within your areas.
