About Your Job :

You will supervise the welding tasks on aeronautical structural items / components as per the approved maintenance data.

You will ensure that the workshop is maintained as per standards defined by the regulatory authorities

Operational accountabilities :

You will responsible for supervising the repairing, manufacturing or repairing, manufacturing or reconditioning a wide variety of aircraft parts in the Welding Shop

To ensure that the welder has performed the task using correct electrodes, rods, flux, alignment jogs and fixtures to produce serviceable fused metallic components.

Responsible for the certification of the tasks performed by the welder, in accordance with the welding approvals.

Coordinate with Workshop Engineering team for the introduction of new welding capabilities and possible expansion in the workshop to cater the fleet increase and technology advancement

To maintain the shop as per the standards set by QCAA / EASA Part 145, including shop facility, tooling and test equipment, manpower and usage of approved materials

Assist Quality Assurance personnel and Workshop Quality Representatives during the planned product / process, surveillance and ensure that you and staff welding approval are timely upgraded as per the operational requirements of the company

You will ensure that welding material being used is duly approved and that all tasks are documented and certified. Carry our routine check and serviceability of welding tools and equipment

Monitor the reliability of the performed maintenance tasks and coordinate with Engineering to address the technical issues for improving reliability

About You :

To join our dynamic team you must have the following relevant qualification, experience and skills :

  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering or relevant vocational, Tertiary or Trade qualification in aircraft maintenance.
  • Valid Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding approval in at least 4 material type

  • External candidates must have a valid Licensed / approval and with at least minimum 7 years of welding experience on related material with 02 years in aviation technology
  • Internal candidates must have a valid welding licensed / approval and 2 years as EN.00

    Aircraft welding experience required

    Preferred at least 2 years supervisory experience of Part 145 and Part M organization

  • You must appropriate aircraft welding authorization or approval specially Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding for aluminum alloys, Titanium alloys, Inconel, Magnesium alloys, Nickel alloys, corrosion and heat resisting steel, copper base alloys, carbon steel
  • You must have good communication skills and ability to work in a team
