DohaJob DescriptionThe post holder has responsibility across all the Corporations Dialysis seven facilities for the provision of technical advice on all aspects of dialysis service delivery.
In addition the post holder has overall responsibility for the operational delivery of these technical services. In conjunction with the Head of Nephrology and Dialysis the post holder is accountable for the delivery of a safe high quality dialysis service in accordance with HMCs vision.
Accountability : Overall strategic and operational management of dialysis equipment and related technology across the Corporation including the provision of expert technical advice t the Head of Nephrology and Dialysis on the acquisition and utilisation of this equipment.
Provision and monitoring of ongoing effective quality assurance programme for of all dialysis equipment ensuring compliance with manufacturers and other relevant performance standards.
Development and provision of an ongoing dialysis equipment preventive maintenance program to ensure minimization of service disruptions due to equipment failure.
Development and testing of Service Continuity Plans in the event of significant equipment failures or external factors leading to massive service disruption such as power failures.
Responsibility for overall technical, service quality through the development and monitoring of standards of practice based on international best practices.
In conjunction with the Head of Nephrology and Dialysis constantly monitor service standards across the Corporations dialysis programmes and develop performance improvement initiatives to constantly drive up standards.
Through the appropriate management structures supervise the day to day operational activities of the technical staff in all dialysis units.
to ensure all machines and accessories are prepared, operated and checked to ensure the effective delivery of clinical services.
Provision of training for patients, their families and clinical colleagues, including physicians, in the technical aspects of dialysis care whether it is in a hospital or home dialysis setting.
Provide training and development opportunities for all technical staff in the dialysis service and through the Corporations appraisal processes ensure all staff has the best opportunity for personal and professional development.
To be an integral member of the senior multi-disciplinary clinical team leading the Corporations dialysis service.Ensure the cost effective use of all resources, both human and material, within theCorporations technical dialysis services.
Initiate, support and participate in multi-disciplinary research activities within the Nephrology and Dialysis Department.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HMC clinical and environmental safety policies and procedures within the technical aspects of the Corporations dialysis service.
Perform other duties as assign.SkillsEssential Education : Bachelor Degree in Dialysis Technology OR Bachelor Degree in Science with one year program in Dialysis Technology.
Primary / QCHP License : Valid Primary license from the country of origin (if applicable) AND should be eligible for license from the Licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice Healthcare Profession.
Essential Experience : 10 years as Dialysis Technologist out of which 2 years performing supervisory activitiesLanguage Skills : English intermediate, Arabic (preferable)Computer Skills : ICDL, use of MS Office
