The Financial and Human Resources Manager administers all finance, human resources, facilities and other operational activities for the California Prevention Training Center’s (CAPTC), a mid-sized academic program within the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health and the ZSFG Division of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences (Ob / Gyn & RS).
This individual administers major program components concerning human and financial resources, and some or all of the program's operational requirements.
The position oversees the financial and contractual administration as well as staffing considerations entailed in conferences and other public forums, including national and international trainings.
Works under direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) to establish center policies, funding, and objectives.

Since 1989, the California Prevention Training Center (CAPTC) has been funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to deliver high-quality, state-of-the-art training and technical assistance to health professionals and health care organizations related to STD prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
CAPTC has established an innovative, cost-effective training and technical assistance center with expertise in training providers (clinical PTC), providing training and capacity building to CDC-funded STD programs (NQIC), training disease investigation specialists (DISTC), and building health department capacity (CBA).
CAPTC is a part of the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences (Ob / Gyn & RS), Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) division, and has faculty with national-level expertise in STDs and HIV.
