  • Serves customers by identifyingtheir needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, andservices.
  • Identifies current and futurecustomer service requirements by establishing personal rapport withpotential and actual customers and others in a position tounderstand service requirements.
  • Providesproduct, service, or equipment technical and engineeringinformation by answering questions and requests.
  • Establishes new accounts and services accounts byidentifying potential customers and planning and organizing salescall schedule.
  • Prepares cost estimates bystudying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers,architects, and other professional personnel.
  • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratiosof equipment, supplies, or service applications in customerenvironment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment,processes, or use of materials or services.
  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstratingcost reductions and operations improvements.
  • Submits orders by conferring with technical support staffand costing engineering changes.
  • Developscustomer’s staff by providing technical information andtraining.
  • Complies with federal, state, andlocal legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation,and anticipating future legislation.
  • Preparessales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizingsales information and engineering and applicationtrends.
  • Maintains professional and technicalknowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewingprofessional publications, establishing personal networks, andparticipating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness byidentifying short-term and long-range issues that must beaddressed, recommending options and courses of action, andimplementing directives.
  • Contributes to teameffort by accomplishing related results as needed.
