Primary purpose of job The Reservoir Engineerworks closely with the Subsurface Team providing simulation supportto all projects.
In addition, the position is accountable forinsuring that high quality and timely reservoir engineering work isprovided to QP’s business.
Reservoir-engineering work isexpected to be value-oriented and in alignment with QP’sbusiness plan bringing forth reservoir performance evaluation, andidentification of near and long-term reserve and productionimprovement opportunities.
The position is expected to work closelywith Subsurface Team geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists,and reservoirs engineers as well as Development Team.
The idealcandidate will have : (1) demonstrated ability to use petroleumprinciples to solve problems and identify enhancementopportunities, (2) strong background in reservoir engineeringprinciples such as numerical reservoir modelling, productionforecasting, decline curve analysis, maximize hydrocarbon recovery,well testing, material balance modelling, inflow / outflow analysis,well drilling and workover planning, economic modelling, SCAL andPVT analysis of reservoir fluids, (3) pattern management practices,(4) good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge, (5)expertise in working with geoscientists, and production andfacilities engineers, (6) proficiency in using reservoirengineering software’s, (7) strong interpersonal skillsfor working in multi-disciplinary and multicultural project teams,(8) well-developed report writing and presentation preparation anddelivery skills, and (9) fluency in English. A minimum of 10 years direct experience inReservoir Engineering related work required.
A minimumof 5 years of hands on experience inreservoir engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of hands on experience in reservoir modelling.
Experience in pressure transient analysis, horizontalwell technology, reservoir surveillance, and water floodingstrongly preferred.
Expert knowledge of reservoirmodelling and reservoir fluid properties.
Workingknowledge of economic evaluation concepts, petrophysical analysis,core description, preferred.
Experience in completions,workovers, drilling and offshore field operations considered aplus.
A team player capable of working in amulti-discipline team environment with a desire to share knowledge.Persuasive, open minded, hard worker, and delivery orientated.
Experience with Eclipse, OFM, and Kappa.
International experience preferred.
Self-starter with astrong desire to deliver superior results.
Ability tothink out of the box and question the statusquo.
Strong leadership, good people and communicationskills required with the ability to work with multi-nationalworkforce.
Multi-tasking capabilities, willing to takeon work and responsibility outside of classical ReservoirEngineering roles.
Strong Reservoir Engineeringtechnical understanding and focus coupled with strong businessskills required.
Experience in asset teams participationpreferred.
Desire to objectively evaluate andincorporate as necessary, new technology to the reservoirdescription / asset management effort.
Reservoir andgeoscience working experience in an operated asset.
Strong experience on reservoir dynamic modelling (Eclipse) andmodel history matching.

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in PetroleumEngineering or equivalent
