About your job :
You will oversee the build assembly including the delivery process of new acquired aircraft specific to the B1 scope of aircraft build / assembly and deliveries.
You will be responsible to verify validate aircraft system operational functionality by monitoring specific aircraft parameters including flight characteristics during the accomplishment of the Customers’ Acceptance Flight in accordance with the requirements defined within the approved Flight Test Manual.
You will ensure that that all related deficiencies noted are properly documented and corrected. Deficiencies that cannot be corrected are imbedded in an associated commitment letter for investigation and resolution as agreed.
Key Accountabilities include :
To ensure that the airline receives the best possible product by evaluating the build assembly and delivery process of newly acquired aircraft at the respective manufacturing sites which shall include but not be limited to components, systems installation and functionality associated with the B1 scope of company granted approval.
Participation of aircraft manufactures customer presentations of assembled areas including a review to ensure that company quality standards and expectations are being maintained at all times.
Perform detailed visual inspection of exterior part of aircraft which shall include the fuselage landing gears engines trim able horizontal stabilizer vertical fin and associated engines during final acceptance phase prior aircraft delivery.
Ensuring that all associated findings are properly documented and corrected to the Airlines satisfaction.
Elevate all pending deficiencies to Manager Aircraft Deliveries for resolution.
Verify confirm system functionality as part of the Flight Deck Acceptance Check Flight in accordance with the requirements defined within the Approved Flight Test Manual by making use of his / hers extensive technical system knowledge and experience to ensure that system operation / functionality is in compliance to the aircraft type design.
Interact / liaise with Airbus / Boeing and Supplier representatives to resolve delivery phase findings.
Focal for promoting the airlines expectations, discretion and independent judgement in problem solving of technical related deficiencies with a focus on quality and protecting the airlines interest and investment.
Promoting a good work together relationship between both Airbus / Boeing and the respective supplier representatives with a common goal of continuous product improvement.
About You :
You must hold a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline, be a Licensed Engineer holding ICAO type 2 / Part 66 aircraft license with a minimum of two Qatar Airways aircraft type authorisations.
Preference will be given to engineers holding multiple Qatar Airways aircraft type authorisations)
You will also have at least 7 years of job related experience in aviation maintenance, aircraft production and delivery.
Previous outstation, AOG including flying Duty Engineer experience is more preferred. You must have knowledge in aircraft systems and engines as pertaining to the work scope and knowledgeable in QCAA, EASA, ICAO and FAA regulations.
You will have strong mentoring and coaching skills with ability to work under pressure and within tight timeframes and deadlines.
