Job Description

Key responsibilities Manage and maintain current policies and procedures within FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC.Execute internal and external benchmark.

Support Project Managers to run competitions, negotiations and supplier selection in conformance with the procurement directives.

Establish and manage effective relationships with suppliers using make compete vs. cooperate approaches in line with the category strategy.

Observe market trends (innovation, overall state of supplier market and vendors).Monitor category and / or supplier spending through SAP P2P process.

Develop the suppliers & service providers’ files and execute agreements as required.Review, evaluate and approve of new suppliers and service providers.

  • Obtain cost estimates for materials, supplies and services.Identify potential vendors / suppliers, gathers and analyses information on them;
  • recommends prospective vendors to senior management.Prepare vendor contracts and negotiates terms with vendors.Maintain inventories of raw materials, parts, supplies and maintains records.

    Periodically assess inventories and compares with market activity; may recommend adjustment of the procurement plant to top management.

    Order materials from approved suppliers.Review, analyse receiving / inspection documentation; forward receiving paperwork to Accounting for vendor payment.

    Maintain records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluates vendor performance (e.g. conformance with stated requirements, trends, anomalies).

    Determine the disposition of nonconforming materials. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.Project or programme management qualifications.

    Experience : Managerial experience in the planning, specification, contracting, design and delivery of technical services and overlay at international football tournaments and / or major international sporting events.

    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic planning, and project or programme management, including those dealing with public authorities or political entities in a client-facing role.

    Knowledge of one or more of the technical services and overlay disciplines, including temporary and overlay / augmentation infrastructure, and ideally in an event environment.

    Direct experience in tendering processes, major projects procurement and contract management.Experienced and capable working in an environment of rapid change, under sometimes intense pressure and scrutiny.

    Able to deal with stress well individually, as well as supporting colleagues and subordinates in such an environment. Skills : English fluency spoken and written (required)Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)Planning software and online collaboration tools (an asset)
