The College of the North Atlantic - Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Change Management Specialist.

Reporting to the Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance Manager, Change Management Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Institutional Excellence department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities :

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will enable the successful delivery of transformation projects and the realization of benefits and transformational change throughout CNA-

Q’s operations, including the comprehensive College Transformation Project initiated by the Board of Trustees intended to transform CNA-

Q into an aspired world class national technical and vocational institution.

Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Change Management or a related field, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Change Management Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible to provide collaborative leadership and guidance in direct support of the CNA-

Q Transformation Project, ensuring that projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.

The Change Management Specialist will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.

The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.

The Change Management Specialist will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that affect employees.

Candidates will be responsible to provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.

The Change Management Specialist will also guide project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Candidates will be responsible to apply a change management methodology to create a plan to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative, support the design, development, delivery and management of communications, and conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.

Responsibilities will also include to integrate change management activities into project plans, and to evaluate and ensure user readiness.

Candidates will also manage stakeholders, track and report issues, define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress, support change management at the organizational level, and to manage the change portfolio.

Skills

Education and Certifications :

A related undergraduate degree and recent Change Management experience, preferably with transformation projects of varying scope and scale in higher education or public sector.

Experience :

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Change Management role or related field.

Language :

Fluency in written and spoken English language required.

Other Required Skills :

A demonstrated understanding of how people go through a change and the change process with the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal is required.

Active listening skills is essential and ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences is required. Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools is essential.

Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges is required. Communication skills, Problem solving is required.

Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organizations is required.

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle. Change management certification or designation desired (e.g. ProSci)
