Role SummaryYou will be responsible for assisting the AGM Business Development & Performance Management and the Head of Countries Business Development in planning, implementing and coordinating activities relating to the expansion of International Branches across QNB.

Role Description Monitor developments in International markets where the Group has presence and identify potential business opportunities.

  • Support the Head of Countries Business Development in assessing identified business opportunities.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of overseas projects concerning establishment of new branches abroad in line with the Group’s overall expansion strategy.
  • Provide guidance to Country Relationship Managers and Country Analysts to achieve the agreed objectives and goals for their assigned countries.
  • Building strong working relationships with Country GM’s and QNB Head Office counterparts in related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals / objectives.

  • Assist with the coordination of the development of business plans for international branches and monitoring their execution.
  • Liaise with QNB Head Office departments to ensure international branches follow Group standards and escalate identified gaps to IBD management.

  • Liaise with IBD Business Support & Control staff, where required, to ensure observed risk and control issues are resolved.
  • Liaise with international network and QNB Head Office departments to benchmark QNB service levels and establish, monitor and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.

  • Conduct annual / semi-annual assessments of overseas branches and compare to peer group.
  • Assess and Identify gaps for product offerings for each market in collaboration with IBD management and Country General Managers and liaise with business and support functions in HO to ensure availability of a full suite of products tailored to each market.
  • Possess a working knowledge of project coordination with strong presentation skills.
  • Identify areas for professional development of self and act to enhance professional development.
  • Actively participate in meetings which aim to assess performance as well as serve as means to resolve grievances or conflicts within the team members.
  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  • All other ad hoc duties and / or activities related to QNB that management may request of the employee from time to time.

    Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of progressive and accomplished experience in business and / or product development and project management of cross-

    functional teams in a global bank or international consultancy firm, of which 3 years in a leadership role / capacity.

  • Previous experience with leading management consultancy preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree required with an MBA preferred.
  • Well-developed numerical, analytical, evaluation skills.
