This position is responsible to the AircraftMaintenance Manager Rotary Wing, for the implementation anddelivery of the QEAF HW3 AW139 Workshops implementation andtraining contract.
The incumbent will be responsible for workingclosely with the QEAF nominated lead to identify suitable realestate, communicate technical requirements, ordering agreedequipment and overseeing installation of each of workshop’sequipment.
The person will then lead the Cobham team to developwork processes and On Job Training task books to deliver suitabletraining to QEAF personnel in the use of all equipment inaccordance with approved QEAF maintenance data.
Safety, regulatorycompliance where applicable, strong business management and theability to effectively manage a number of diverse technicalworkshops whilst training QEAF personnel in the use of thespecialist equipment will be essential to effective delivery ofcustomer contractual requirements.
As a Technical Contract Manager,your key responsibilities will include : To lead and manage theCobham QEAF HW3 AW139 workshops contract and its associatedpersonnel.
This includes, but is not limited to; Compliancewith the Cobham Aviation Services and QEAF and Regulatory, safetyand compliance systems where applicable Compliance with allQEAF regulatory and technical requirements Deliveringfinancial and operational outcomes in accordance with the contractbudget, training plans and contract requirements Achieve optimal contract performance and maintain excellentcustomer and stakeholder relationsKey functions of this positionshall include : Liaison with QEAF to establish and commissionworkshops specialist equipment Safety and compliance in theuse of all workshops equipment Leadership and management ofthe Cobham workshops specialists Directly managing the PT6engine workshop and its associated training activities Provision of specialist HUMS support and training to HW3engineers Development of workshop equipment processes andassociated OJT task books Financial performance in relationto manpower, material, overheads and other relevant controllablecosts Delivery of customer contractual requirements withregard to training QEAF personnel Effective communicationand building strong partnerships with Key Stakeholders includingQEAF HW3 leadership, Equipment OEMs, Cobham engineering andtraining organisations.
SPECIAL CONDITIONSTechnical workshopsinvolve the use of potentially harmful specialist Maintenance,Repair and Overhaul equipment that requires strict compliance withOEM technical data and compliance with bespoke safety procedures.
The Technical Contract Manager must drive and deliver a culture ofsafety first ahead of training or delivery schedule and maintainthe highest level of safety and technical compliance across allrelevant workshop disciplines.
The QEAF HW3 workshops contract formsa bespoke business stream within the Aircraft Maintenance Function.Good business acumen and a well-disciplined approach to running asuccessful contract is essential combined with strong people skillsto encourage, mentor and develop Cobham staff and traineesalike.
