DohaPermanentSummary : Implements, directs and oversee sales and distribution strategy for the Network Channels, Contents and Business & mange the operations of the Directorate Director of Sales & Distribution is responsible for expanding the global distribution of Aljazeera content on all platforms to maximize the audience in alignment with the overall strategy of Network, and is responsible to maximize ad sale and other revenue while maintaining the network’s core values.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability : Develop initiatives & strategies; Create, develop and implement new strategic Distribution initiatives, services and partnerships across all AJMN Channels & Products globallyDefine & Identify distribution opportunities with key distribution partners to maximize AJMN Channels presence and distribution across all different platforms worldwideCreate business cases for distribution in prioritized territories, and platform for distribution (including the requirements, broadcast regulations, financial forecasts, legal implications, commercial roll-out as applicable), prepare presentations to senior management to review opportunity, work with the internal teams towards implementation, track progress & share best practicesDevise Distribution Growth, Determine Cost Reduction & Drive Revenue wherever possibleDistribution strategy & thought leadership : Provide thought leadership and formulate distribution strategy.

Develop new initiatives and partnerships for the bundling and distribution of AJMN ChannelsRepresent Distribution ensuring developments of AJMN Channels are consistent with the distribution strategy and that synergies between Business To Business and Direct to Consumer businesses are maximisedBe updated of latest market trends ensuring AJMN is abreast of market changes that impact distribution, e.

g., new platforms, products, business models, technology, pricing, digital transition, etc.Lead overall distribution short and long term Strategic Planning process & support, Annual Operating Plan process, Annual Budget Plan and other key drivers for distribution.

Manage Distribution budget : define and prioritise projects, oversee execution in partnership with relevant teams & departments.

Generate and share insights with relevant stakeholdersInternal co-ordination to ensure engagement of relevant internal teams, departments & divisionsRepresent AJMN in key Trade Fairs, Events, Exhibitions, Conferences worldwideJob Requirements / Qualifications : Strong Communication skills Bilingual (Arabic & English)Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or related fields, a Master Degree in related fields is preferred.

Minimum 12 years of professional experience in in the media industry. 5 years in a marketing leadership role for a large and complex media organization.

Knowledge on TV Media Broadcast Industry - Sales and Distribution and Emerging Technologies Aljazeera editorial integrity and ethics.
