A Quality Control Chemist is responsible for collecting samples, analyzing and labeling raw materials, finished goods, and other samples.
They also perform record keeping and other Quality Control ( QC ) related responsibilities as directed by the Lab Coordinator.
They utilizes chemistry lab skills to test and measure materials, generally in a manufacturing field. As someone whose work is generally part of a team effort, a QC chemist ensures that experiments are completed according to established Standard Operating Practices (SOP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or Good Clinical Practices (GCP), as well as any applicable federal regulations or industry standards.
Some QC chemists also validate instrumentation and experiments
Requirements - Food Science or Microbiology graduate with about 12-15 years of experience in handling quality assurance process of water bottling and / or carbonated soft drinks bottling lines.
