  • To support the Communications functions with content development, media liaison,implementing editorial calendar, and maintaining media relationsDetailed DescriptionManage the Public Relations activitiesOversee social media platforms and content generation, press conferences, press releases, print and TV interviewsManage all media activities, media training and interview prep and coordination between speakers and the media outletsRespond to media inquiries, and provide relevant information to the news media;
  • generating positive press coverage of departmental activitiesMonitor news coverage and maintain files of news clippings;
  • represent the department with other emergency services agenciesSupport the planning and coordination of events and conferencesDevelop content (related to Research and Innovation) for all presentations, engagements as neededLiaise with QF marketing for design and layout and proofreading process after design to assure accuracyEnsure that all content review aligns with the key messages, style guide and tone to ensure consistency and relevance to target audiencesTranslate documents, communications and correspondence from English to Arabic and Arabic to English accurately, as needed, identify and resolve any translation related issues that may ariseCoordinate with QF Communications or other providers to ensure timely coverage of translation servicesCoordinate with the stakeholders and Council members and keep the contacts database up to dateSupport supervisor with the workshops design, coordination and facilitationIdentify engagement opportunities and events for leadership and broader teamOversee all official incoming and outgoing correspondences and ensure archiving of all team contentCoordinate a variety of day-to-day activities, which may include : facilitating planning meetings;
  • coordinating the allocation of resources; arranging media coverageOversee the website management and deliveryJob RequirementsBachelor’s degree in relevant field of study6-8 years of full-time Communications and Public Relations experienceExperience in advertising / promotional designsExcellent experience in translation and proof readingExcellent attention to detailExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skillsExcellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely;
  • Arabic proficiency is requiredProficiency in MS Office applicationsAdditional Details
