Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established byEmiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. It is responsible for all phases of the oiland gas industry in the State of Qatar.

The principal activities of QP, its subsidiaries and joint ventures arethe exploration, production, local and international sale of crude oil,natural gas and gas liquids, refined products, synthetic fuels,petrochemicals, fuel additives, fertilizers, liquefied natural gas(LNG), steel and aluminium.

QP’s strategy of conducting hydrocarbon exploration and development isthrough Exploration and Production Sharing Agreements (EPSA) andDevelopment and Production Sharing Agreements (DPSA) concluded withmajor international oil and gas companies.

The operations and activities of QP and its affiliates are conducted atvarious onshore locations, including Doha, Dukhan and the Mesaieed andRas Laffan Industrial Cities, as well as offshore areas, including HalulIsland, offshore production stations, drilling platforms and the NorthField.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Primary purpose of job

Manage a section of Analysts responsible for the development and continuous improvement of organizational capability / capacity, organizational performance and staff engagement within assigned areas through processes, structures and people, in order to achieve QP’s strategic objectives.

Experience & Skills

  • A total of 10+ years of experience, including 3 - 4 years in a supervisory role preferably within the oil / gas / energy sector.
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead and motivate a professional team of Analysts.
  • Excellent project / programme management experience.
  • Facilitation, consultation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proof of sound business acumen, judgement and systemic thinking.
  • Knowledge of organisation dynamics and motivational theories.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to inspire others and to persuade management during negotiations and change management discussions.
  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Education

    A relevant Bachelor Degree. Post graduate degree is preferred.
