The Electrification Business offers low- and medium-voltage electrical installations, including EV infrastructure, solar inverters, modular substations, distribution automation, switchgear, measuring and sensing devices, control products, including KNX systems designed to integrate and automate a building’s lighting, ventilation, heating, and security, wiring accessories, enclosures and cabling systems, data communication networks, and power protection.
You are working as an EL Market Development Manager ABB Ability and will be a part of the Electrification business and will be based in Doha, Qatar.
In this role, you will be responsible for using consultative and value-based sales techniques to understand potential customer(s) needs and recommend EL digitalization solutions in a compelling and strategic fashion.
You will also be responsible for prospecting and building a pipeline of business within already existing customer base (mainly with ELDS Switchgear Installed Base) as well as new customers (mainly having 3rd Party Switchgear Installed Base) and developing new business through selling new digital applications & solutions to existing customer accounts.
You are accountable for marketing the digital portfolio by attending relevant fairs and customer events within the allocated market, analytical reporting and for the successful localization, implementation and integration of the relevant digital applications and solutions.
Your responsibilitiesDefining in line with ABB Ability mission and platforms, local Market digital strategy and ensure consistent and harmonized cross product groups execution.
Capturing outside market situation and opportunities, understand customer drivers and digitalization needs, and translate these into a solution-based business strategy to leverage untapped digital value.
Working cross BLs and cross Businesses for sharing solutions, outline harmonized customer approach and identify common initiatives.
Developing a digital business plan which delivers rapid growth and profitable new revenue streams;Working with major customers account to support and develop the capabilities (organization, process, and systems) to become a more effective digital business while complying with the technology, cyber security, and architectural standards.
Ensuring the swift adoption of ABB Ability and accelerate existing digital business opportunities in the local market integrate, penetrate, replicate and align our marketing and communications on digital solutions.
Your backgroundA bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines preferred (although extensive software business exposure.
A solid experience in the software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things, and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends.
Own proven track record in customer focus, driving results and turning opportunities in sales successes and proven experience in driving digital transformation for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (software, technology, automation, energy industry).
Experience in the industrial environment and excellent leadership and networking skills matured in a highly international organization, leading by influence .
