The Senior Material Engineer mayconduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products inorder to ensure their quality.

Plan andimplement laboratory operations for the purpose of developingmaterial and fabrication procedures that meet cost, productspecification, and performance standards.

Review and make recommendations for material selectionbased on design objectives.

Solve problems ina number of engineering fields.

Completing,checking, and processing tests and reports.

Making geotechnical and QC recommendations.

Ensuring that field laboratory is responsible for thetechnical requirement.

Assisting in preparinginspection, embankments, concrete, and pavement.

Ensuring that off-site testing and certifications arevalid.

Checking and reporting on compliancewith specifications requirements for compaction, gradation, mixproportions, strength, etc.

in construction of embankments,structure, pavements, and incidental item.

Establishing laboratory and field testingprocedures.

Analyzing foundationconditions.

Developing and implementingschedule for test frequency, test coverage on all contracts andsupervising and directing.

Field surveyparties to comply with requests surveys.
