Infrastructure Assurance Senior ManagerSince 2012, the Jacobs team in Qatar have been focused on delivering football stadiums and other supporting infrastructure for the delivery of an amazing 2022 FIFA World Cup™, that will leave a lasting legacy for Qatar, the region and the world.
The tournament will have the most geographically compact footprint in its history since the inaugural single-stadium edition in 1930, with all stadiums within 50km of the centre of Qatar’s capital city Doha.
This hosting concept means that spectators and players will spend less time travelling and more time enjoying the tournament, and it will create opportunities to centralise the provision of some services and facilities.
As Infrastructure Assurance Senior Manager, your responsibility will be to report and monitor progress of transportation infrastructure required to serve the football stadiums.
This will cover all critical transportation projects, from airport, Expressways and Metro required for tournament operations.
You will ensure that proper interface takes places between infrastructure components, competition and non-competition venues, anticipating programme risks and offering mitigation strategies.
As a suitable candidate you will be degree qualified in an Engineering or Construction related discipline and already have a comprehensive understanding of Qatar’s road and highway transportation network.
You will already be interfacing at a Senior level with numerous infrastructure stakeholders with the nation. Experience of planning transport operations for a major sporting event will be a major advantage.
Arabic speaking is highly preferable.
