College Department Profile The College of the North Atlantic Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Administrative Assistant Reporting to the Academic Manager Applied Research and Innovation the Administrative Assistant must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Department in fully implementing the College s mission and vision College of the North Atlantic Qatar Profile The beautiful and culturally progressive State of Qatar is home to a robust TVET higher education institution College of the North Atlantic Qatar CNAQ Established to meet the ambitious and visionary goals of the State of Qatar CNAQ is a partnership between the State of Qatar and the College of the North Atlantic in Canada CNAQ a national technical college fills the State s need for graduates who have applied technical training in their fields of study The stateoftheart campus hosts around 600 staff and 3000 students CNAQ is the third largest postsecondary institution in Qatar offering 34 advanced diploma diploma and certificate programs in a range of technical areas including Business Management Information Technology Engineering Technology Industrial Trades Health Sciences and General Education In September 2020 the College started offering its first Applied Bachelor Programs which provide a highquality mix of theory and applied analytical vocational and occupational skills and competences coupled with careeroriented practical education and training Since CNAQ s inception the College has graduated thousands of alumni who are proudly contributing to a knowledgebased economy Duties Responsibilities This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide administrative and office support to the Manager as well as to the overall Department to facilitate daytoday operations of the Department and support the effective and efficient functioning of the Department The candidate should have good administrative experience working within a busy office environment Responsibilities include providing an efficient secretarial and administrative support to the Manager and employees of the Department Managing inbound and outbound calls by answering and screening calls accordingly managing office supplies inventories and checking stock Scheduling and coordinating meetings as required Transcribing and preparing minutes as requested by the Manager The candidate will also be responsible for preparing documents reports emails and memos and will support the Department in collecting and analyzing data Responsibilities will also include coordinating with outsourced travel agents regarding travel requests and performing general clerical duties such as photocopying faxing and mailing as requested by the Manager
