Monitors and controls construction work activities to ensure that the project is managed in a safe and professional manner, undertaken in compliance with all contractual requirements and executed at the required performance level.
Assists construction team members in ensuring the effective implementation of the company’s requirements, systems, business ethics, principles and objectives.
Supervises the construction team and ensures timely completion of the project and ensures that all works are carried out safely, in accordance to specification with highest quality of work and within budget.
Ensures all construction works are carried out with the right sequence of works and are well coordinated.
Establishes the construction schedule with the planning and control manager; sets target for each section of the construction activities.
Provides technical assistance and interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required.
Observes and implements HSE rules at all times and ensures all works are carried out in a safe manner to achieve zero accident.
Conducts inspections visits and surveys and participate in the briefing or orientation.
Makes decision to resolve major construction issues.
Issues site instruction to sub-contractors; manages and supervises the sub-contractors physical work.
Conducts periodic meetings with subordinates, subcontractors, and clients regarding work priorities and ensuring work is flowing smoothly.
Monitors daily progress of the work.
Prepares and reviews progress reports to be submitted to the client and checks its correctness and comprehensiveness.
Ensures that adequate resources are being provided by integrating on-site works with support functions through coordination with the head office.
Supervises manpower planning process as per the developed budgets and plans.
Identifies and establishes job description of subordinates; coaches and mentors subordinates, reviews and conducts performance appraisal by setting their key performance indicators and key result areas to measure the overall performance against the project goals, and submits appraisal report in a timely manner.
With at least 20 years of experience, with 10 years in the construction of civil and building engineering projects in a senior managerial position.
Previous assignment as CM of a large civil or building project.
Appropriate experience in MEP, buildings and infrastructure constructions.
GCC experience is highly desirable.
Graduate or equivalent from an accredited institution, specialized in a relevant field of study or professionally qualified with full memberships of related professional Bodies.
Qatar experience is a plus.
