This is an exciting opportunity to join Qatar Aviation Services as Operational Training Manager. In this role you will be dedicated to Airside operational departments (Ramp), to work alongside Executive Leadership and support Line Managers.
Key focus on strategic development and implementation of required training in airside operations (Ramp) based on operations critical activities and improving the departments’ productivity and quality.
You will design, develop, implement & deliver training that matches operational departments’ objectives to comply with Safety, Security & Quality requirements.
In this role you will analyze and determine the training needs of Airside operations in collaboration with the Line Managers and trainers based on operations critical activities and in compliance with Safety, Security and Quality standards in order to improve the productivity and quality of work.
Key Accountabilities :
Evaluate and measure the training activities / programs by analyzing training evaluation test scores.
Manage and update different types of visual tools (videos, photos, virtual reality) by learning new technology which will help in the in-depth understanding of the trainings being delivered.
Ensure that the operational departments manages and include an appropriate annual training budget by advising and providing them accurate data through periodical reports in order to meet the short and long-term training goals of the organization and to create competitive advantage.
Develop, implement and conduct training programmes with special emphasis given to ground handling activities in Airside to ensure employee knowledge and skill requirements are met.
In conjunction with Manager Training, ensure training delivery matches business objectives, operating plans and complies with Safety, Security & Quality requirements.
Ensure reporting trainers are fully competent in the areas of their specialisation which will support in the granting of authorisation to conduct trainings / courses or issue licenses required in the operations.
Ensure that the constructive feedback given to training participants are reinforced through coaching and development provided by the Line Manager through ongoing performance management.
Support and suggest any safety training initiatives as required to ensure compliance with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Ensure training records, files and training materials in operational departments are maintained up-to-date by having regular inventory and self-audit in order to provide accurate periodical reports of training activities and results.
About You : To be successful in this role you will hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Qualification in training, education or learning environment is highly preferred.
You must have minimum 7 years relevant experience within ground handling related activities in Airside as a Trainer, Training Specialist, Assistant Training Manager or Manager.
You should have prior experience in managing and developing trainers / employees. You should have the ability to measure and assess employee training needs along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with Senior Management is also essential. Applicants must have a sound knowledge on Safety and Security procedures.
