We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Cost Manager into our Qatar Cost Management team to work on the Fitout of a Major Real Estate project.
The candidate must to be residing in Qatar to be considered or be an RP holder.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE :
Support in the delivery of a Spa Fitout Project, part of a major real estate project during post-contract stages;
To provide first class service delivery to clients, gain their trust and enhance our reputation;
To ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective cost management service to handover;
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Dealing effectively with post contract procurement of sums, cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable;
Taking personal responsibility for managing a fit out budget checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place;
Producing high quality contract reports and presenting them to the client;
Negotiating with contractors and trade subcontractors, agreeing variations and final accounts;
Interfacing with the client, contractors and other consultants, at all project stages;
Where appropriate, lead a cost management team to ensure high quality delivery in accordance with the accountabilities above.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
We are looking for someone with an eagerness to progress their career and develop professionally;
A positive and assertive attitude is key for this role;
A combination of Contracting and Consulting Experience is preferred, although either alone will be considered;
Evidence of experience in client facing positions is required;
Evidence of experience in construction management is preferred;
BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent obtained from a Western University is preferred;
MRICS is preferred, although not essential;
Minimum 10 years’ post qualification experience;
Spa or High End Fitout experience is necessary;
Experience of regional procurement and local market construction knowledge is necessary.
