About Your Job :
In this role, you will plan and execute global media & paid digital media social media campaigns which include, development of media strategy, planning, negotiating rates and positioning, and trafficking ads between our creative and media agencies and global media partners, with a strong focus on digital media buying and planning, highly digital focused, but not exclusively.
Specific accountabilities include :
Recommending the best possible use of various media platforms available, based on media trends and competitor analysis
Analysing target audiences, keeping abreast of media developments, market trends and understanding consumer motivators that assist purchase decisions
Reviewing and critiquing the media plans developed by media agency and / or the regional / local marketing teams.
Negotiating the best media rates and deals with media owners or agencies directly
Trafficking materials between media owners, media agency, creative agencies and in-house creative team
Coordinating advertising activities as per the annual global advertising plans
Evaluating ad hoc advertising proposals that are submitted to head office. This could be up to 400 per year
Briefing media buying and advertising agencies for global and regional marketing campaigns
Strong digital experience across digital channels (online display, paid social, programmatic).
Hands on knowledge of Omniture & Google Analytics tools, search trends, ad servers (e.g. DoubleClick), and social analytics, data visualisation & analysis tools to demonstrate effectiveness and ROI.
You will have a high level of numeracy and analysis skills, including data interrogation to produce actionable insights with can inform business decisions.
About You :
To be effective in this role, you will need a Bachelors Degree (ideally in Advertising, Marketing, Mass Communications or Digital Marketing) combined with at least five years of relevant experience in media planning or buying.
You should also have a strong understanding of Global Media and digital media buying, planning, experience in a large media-
buying agency for a major client is preferred. You will need sound relationship building, excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
